to keep our Lady Nelson sailing and providing fantatsic tall ship sailing experiences.
The Lady Nelson is managed by the Tasmanian Sail Training Association (TSTA) as a 100% fully volunteer run organisation from crew to the office and the board of directors.
We are a very friendly bunch so it's also a great organsiation to meet new people as well as make a valuable contribution to the community.
We are currently seeking volunteers to assist us:
- Crewing the Lady Nelson (all ages and skill levels welcome) - check out our Join the Crew pages
- AMSA Qualified Masters to sail the ship - weekend harbour sails, day sails or multi day trips
- Marine engineers and/or electricians- ideally with an MED (marine Engine Driver) qualification
- Wooden Boat maintenance - if whipping, mousing, painting and a general love of maintaining wooden boats is your thing we would love to hear from you
- Marketing in all forms (online, social media, video, print media, marketing strategy, website SEO)
All our volunteers choose the amount of time they can offer and when they can provide it.
