COVID-19 RULES 1/03/2021



The Board has confirmed with the State Controller’s office that sailing on the Lady Nelson falls under transport

Passengers are encouraged to keep physical distancing in mind where possible.

Short Sails

Passengers cannot board the vessel if they are or have had

• are sick, or are displaying symptoms of COVID-19 (temperature, cough or sore throat) and/or are experiencing shortness of breath.
• have been in recent close contact with a person who is awaiting test results for COVID-19 or are undergoing COVID-19 isolation or quarantine
• Recent COVID-19 contact is within the last 14 days

If on the day if you show signs of being sick you will not be permitted to board the ship and will asked to leave the area and seek medical advice and will be given a refund.

Meeting on Wharf

Prior to boarding the vessel, passengers will receive a COVID-19 and general safety briefing. 

Boarding and on the Vessel

Contact Tracing - Anyone boarding the vessel must use the Check In Tasmania App prior to boarding for contact tracing purposes.

Sanitise your hands before boarding the vessel

If you visit the heads (toilets) please wash hands with soap and water then sanitise.

Lady Nelson cleaning schedule

Cleaning will usually be done at the end of the day but depending on the duration of the sail may be ordered more frequently.

• Heads –if the heads are used the seat, basin, taps, light switch and door handle will need to be wiped down with disinfectant.

• Midships prior to finishing for the day disinfect and wipe down all galley surfaces, ladder handrails and hatch combings.

• Aft Cabin prior to finishing for the day disinfect and wipe down all chart table and sink

• Foc'sle heads cleaned and basin and ensure cabin left tidy.
